Wilmington, CA

Pacific Coast Highway and Fries Street

We provided regulatory-compliant ramps, conduit, and a traffic signal to help improve safety at a busy four-way intersection.

Value Delivered

As prime contractor on this Caltrans project, KDC Inc., (formerly known as Dynalectric L.A.), installed improvements at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Fries street in the city of Wilmington.

Because the intersection was on a very busy highway, we managed the challenging work of limiting lane closures. In a potentially dangerous location, we were able to complete the client’s required upgrades safely.

Overall, our signal, crosswalks, and ramps help increase the safety of this busy four-way intersection.

Client Objectives

Caltrans needed to improve safety at an intersection where many traffic collisions has occurred.

Our solutions included installation of:

  • More than 400 feet of conduit
